Update to me (cause no one else seems to care)

The bottom line (real deep) is that I have been married to the lovely Sandra now for 18 unbelievable years. During this time we have amassed 7 grandchildren, lost two cats (they really don't have nine lives) and enough jobs to sink a battleship, made and paid off a mountain of debt (thanks to Dave Ramsey), got burglarized, had a truck stolen and another nearly (I chased them away), beat cancer (we are both survivors), traveled to Hawaii, Europe (3 times), and Mexico (habla Esp. poquito). We've been on 3 cruises (Mexican and Mediterranean Riveras, Hawaiian Islands). Sandra got baptized (I was dunked when I was 8). Sold a home, bought a home (we live there). Bought a vacation timeshare in Sedona. Went to Disney World with our oldest grandchild (he freaked while we were in line to go on the Pirates O' Caribbean and bolted for the entrance). We got him a Pirate ship play pool the next summer and he loved it. I lost count of how many trips we took to see relatives (mostly back East to see her side). She went twice by herself. I stayed home to pay the bills. Last Christmas we got her a new SUV (all-wheel drive) so we could visit during the winter. I get to keep my ten year old pickup until it dies (probably outlast me). I am between jobs (I hate to say unemployed). That's why I can make another blog post. I better finish before she sees what I'm doing...

Maybe this song was the first one I knew. I could sing all the words by heart. Simple words that carry a powerful message.
The gospel message in the Bible is simple too. Paul the Apostle sums it up best in this Bible verse.
Christ Crucified Is God’s Power and Wisdom 1 Corinthians 1:18 "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." NIV
